Default mac users hi10p - 10-13-2011, 12:40 AM

This is just simply to notify mac users that hi10p (10bit) video formats can use MPlayerX downloaded from the app store to play these video types.

Default For Mac users Having trouble for 10 bit and Ordered Chapters - 10-15-2011, 11:08 AM

If you're using Mplayer OS X extended, use [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

There's also MplayerX which you can search in the App Store, I'm not recommending it to anybody just yet.

But both are Frontends to Mplayer...

MplayerX is newer, but all the problems associated with a new program are inherent with it, and you can't change the backend.

Upgrading the Backend for OS X Extended is what i'd recommend to most users.

I Don't use it that much, but you can also get [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], which is basically like CCCP for Mac users, it upgrades Quicktime and enables it to run the latest codecs and such.

Thanks Quiffiff!

I just checked it out and tried to install the newest binary and wanted to add a quick caveat: You must be running Snow Leopard for the new binary to work.
