Default h264 deinterlace problems... - 07-25-2011, 07:57 AM

I was wondering if anyone could help me.

I videocaptured something Macross that's new. But I can't get the deinterlacing down right. It's video captured at 59fps 720HD. And I want to reduce it down to 24 or 30.

Right now I tell adobe premiere/adobe media encoder to NOT blend fields together and deinterlace them. But I keep getting a blended frames after-images. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.

It's in H264 so I crash when I try to go back to virtual dub or avisynth.

CaN ANYONE PLEASE HELP?

Thanks for replying. I'm using vdub 1.9.11

I got the h264 file into vdub using MP4cam2avi. that converted the mp4 to avi. But the sound goes out of sync at the end now. having a bear of a time dealing with that now...The framerate option to match video and audio durations isn't synching it up right.

I'm sorry, but I'm an idiot at this...

Try getting [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] of VirtualDub, it's 1.9.11 with the Directshow Input Driver. That should allow you to open the mp4 directly using VirtualDub without it crashing.

Just make sure before you go to open the mp4, change the Files of type option to DirectShow input driver.

If you still get audio sync issues, open the mp4 in VirtualDub and go to File > Save WAV. Then go to Audio > Audio from other file and select the wav file you just saved.

WOW!!! Thank you! I got the file to open in Virtualdub.

I just have to work tomorrow to figure out how to get the aac audio to decode. Then I'll be able to get this to where I can upload it.

btw, here is a sample of it.

It's from a virtual concert on Playstation Home. They built a chunk of Macross Frontier's Island One. You can see Sheryl and Ranka's concert. It's a duplicate of the concert from the first MF movie. You are in the concert by the sea. And the ship rises out of the ocean. The Vajira attack. And lotsa singing then Quarter fires it's main gun. Then after the concert, everyone gets an Ai-kun.

It's a trip to actually be INSIDE Frontier. And to see the concert was amazing!

here is the first run through of it. It's in an odd format, h264 in a avi container with lame mp3.

I'll try and make a better one next week after another capture pass. D
