1: pull the battery out
2: put the laptop upside down Do not close the laptop and put it upside down, you don't want to break the display. also make sure it sits safe, perhaps under a towel or something so you don't scratch the laptop. 3: give it plenty of time. people say put it in the sun or use a hair dryer don't do that! the laptop is plastic also you don't want the tin to melt which screws up your laptop. compressed air is ok although it's better not use use anything at al unless you open the laptop which i doubt because your garantee will be gone( You don't want the air press the water to more places which water shouldnt be ). 4: give it a rest a few days before trying it again. set it at a safe place perhaps a place with good wind circulation this will increase the speed to dry |

If your computer was still running post-spill, odds are you can get it back up to 99% operating performance. I've fixed many laptops that had liquid worse than water spilled on it, and for the most part they are ok after a while.
Almost all laptops nowadays have a 'spill-proof' design which catches any spilled liquid with a plastic layer just below the keyboard. If all you spilled was water, it should all evaporate soon and you'll be as good as new. Your touchpad will likely work again as well. To speed up the process you could try taking out the keyboard. That usually isn't too hard (5-10 screws and a couple of panels), and there are many online guides that can walk you through it. Otherwise I'd recommend just waiting a couple days for it to dry, if you have the time. |

8 months, simply take it back.
Samsung has a year manufacturer warranty. I dropped mine at 10 months, legitimately. Returned without a problem. Don't even use these "grandma remedies," just get a new one. *Edit: I should note that I bought my laptop at HH Gregg, without the extended warranty. They accepted it and exchanged it without a problem. |

I have experienced worse than just half cup, my laptop actually became a victim of 4 hour of rain
and when I've found out, the water pour out of my laptop like a waterfall M laptop fine now after I dried it for a week You did the right thing turn it off, since water is dangerous to electrical gadget if its turn on, coz water can only cause short circuit if there electricity on your gadget As for your touch pad, I suggest you don't have too much hope Since short circuited things usually burn |
