How do I convert anime to my Itouch and still keep the subtitles?

I converted the anime to my Itouch but I don't see any subs. Any suggestions?

I've been using MediaCoder to convert anime into my cell phone's format. It has options on how to deal with the subtitles too.

Even if you don't know much about converting to different formats, it has an easy "conversion wizard" that asks you want you want, and helps you set up the conversion. I'm pretty sure Ipod/Iphone is a preset format that's already in the program.

You can jailbreak your touch and put vlc on it.
