Default How to Convert - 04-01-2011, 07:49 AM

Hey, My friend gave me some DVD's which he claimed to just have files of an anime that i could copy strait off of the disks, well, turns out, they're burts DVD's, so, i need something that can Convert the files into something like, avi, or mkv, even rmvb would be good.

The Series is pokemon, the first series are here. thanks for any help guys.

Burnt dvd's still contain the file, you just can't change them. But you should be able to read/copy them to your harddrive.

Are the files in a strange format or something?
Some more information would be good.

I've been using Xvid4PSP 5.0 for conversions it's free and it works great.
You can convert to an assortment of formats, MKV, MP4, WMV to AVI, WAV, OGG to mp3 or vice versa, it also handles DVD rips including joining the separate volume files. It's the handiest conversion program I've had in a while.

Download DVD Decrypter (if you don't have DVD ripping software) and Handbrake. Use DVD Decrypter to rip the DVD files onto your hard drive, then pull up Handbrake.. load them in.. and it's pretty easy to figure out from there. You can convert them into mkv or mp4, either way. It also allows you to set the subtitle tracks/audio tracks, so you can either keep dual audio on some animu DVDs, or just drop it if you don't care.
