This is not really a technical support issue, so I apologize profusely in advance. It is an issue that should be addressed directly to the AT gods, however, which is why I settled for this forum.
I was on a forum thread page (the second page of the one titled "Usefulness of the Anime in learning Japanese language and other impact", if that matters to you). I attempted to navigate away from that page and a popup popped up. It said: "Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page? PRESS ENTER TO CLOSE THIS ALERT." There was no other information in the page at all. I wish I had gone to properties on it and recorded what I found there but I did not think of it at the time - sorry for that too, if it matters. alt-F4 did make the page go away, but the popup returned every time I tried to navigate away. I tried the back button; I tried clicking your home page link; I tried clicking a link from my favorites. All attempts brought back the popup. As a last resort, I pressed enter (I hate doing what popups tell me to do. It's a good way to launch something on your computer that you don't want to launch.). This cleared the popup and let me navigate away normally. So the question is, was that popup AT's doing??? I would guess not (and hope not). Or you had banner advertising that took over your page to that extent??? If so, you need to complain about that mess. If you start to accept advertising that uses all the ugly tricks that porn sites and malware peddling sites use then you will lose a lot of fans. A C Doyle - The White Company |

Ahh, PS: I've gone back a couple of times and I can't get it to repeat.

alcaray, what browser are you using? I've only seen that happen in Safari on a Mac, but other browsers (possibly Chrome) may do that as well.
It's usually when you've typed something, i.e. some text in the reply box, then tried to navigate away from that page. The browser is just warning you that you may lose what you've typed. |

It's the latest and greatest, fully updated IE. I've never known Microsoft to be shy about putting their name on their messages, though.

I've had this happen to me a couple times. Same problem too, I can't go anywhere without the popup coming back. But out of complete fear of clicking anything in popups like that, I restart my computer. *shrugs*

Don't remember this ever happening to me, my advice switch to Firefox and get adblock +
IE is kinda... bad to put it mildly, but if the problem persists i would recommend you just use task manager to close the program, what i would do yay!... lurker status..... <--- sarcasm |
