How are you guys doing?
Well...I'm new here and it seems I'm having some trouble with subtitles, you see I had the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack installed in my computer, which is one of the best codec pack I have ever installed, and until now I had no problems with subtitles (even with the best Blu-Ray quality).

But when I entered here, I saw that you had the anime "Spice and Wolf", which is a relatively new anime (pretty good, btw :]), in a great quality, so I decided to download it. But the subtitles won't work, I changed my codec pack to CCCP (the last update), but it's still not working, could you help me out?

I Downloaded the Second Option, the "[Raws-4U] Ookami to Koushinryou -Spice and Wolf- (BD 1920×1080 x264 AAC) [Subbed]", now I know what you are going to say to me, you are going to say that the anime has "Raw" in it's name on "[Raws-4U]" (so it normally wouldn't have a subtitle, it would only be the anime), but it has also "[Subbed]" on it, so here's my question, does that anime has a Subtitle or not?

Sorry for the Trouble I'm causing, and I will be really glad if anyone can help me out.

Idk if it has anime or not since I didn't watch that, aaand I'm not around my computer to download it and see what happens, so.... I shouldn't really be posting actually.

Hey, thanks for sending me a reply so quick :]
Well...I don't want to discuss with you about the CCCP, it is a great Codec Pack indeed, but the K-Lite helped me running some other Programs (like Media Subtitler) better than CCCP, that's why I stayed with K-Lite until today (now I'm using CCCP xD).

First off, just in case you didn't know, only have either k-lite or cccp installed, not both. Secondly, I don't know about k-lite and i'm not going to download the video just to find out the problem, but my guess is if there is subtitle, it's probably off by default. I'm using cccp and when I open a file it also pops some icons on the window taskbar (decoder icon). Right-clicking one of them (aka the green arrow icon) gives me the some options like selecting subtitles and audio if there's more than one.

If you just downloaded the CCCP codec then you need to enable the Autoload VSfilter after you open up the FFD show settings and click next at the bottom it should be on the right side second row. Hope this helps.

Well, I already knew that I should only keep 1 Codec Pack, thats why I changed the K-Lite for the CCCP, but it's still not working. The video that I downloaded is .MP4 with BD(Blu-Ray) definition with about 550mb for each one of the First Season episodes, there is another option of download which has 1.36gb (Blu-Ray) for each one of the First Season episodes, and is .MKV.

Normally, a .MKV file has the video and the subtitle together in the same archive (normally being Softsub, so that you can extract the subtitle), and the configuration of the CCCP on my computer allows me to read the entire archive (video and subtitle), so then I don't need to "right click" and choose a different audio or subtitle.

Since the video that I have is .MP4 I was expecting that the subtitle was Hardsub (which is glued to the video), but even if it was Softsub it should be read immediatly with the video, but it's not, even when I right click on it, no subtitle is shown.

I have downloaded other animes here, and had no problem with subtitle, thats why I created this topic here, because I wanna find out if the video has a subtitle or not, if its a Raw or not...

Hey, thank you for your reply.

I didn't know of the Autoload VSfilter of the CCCP, I enabled it, but it still doesn't show a subtitle, that's the only anime here on my computer ( and believe me I have quite some :] ), that doesn't show a subtitle, I'm gonna download one episode of the 1.36GB .MKV version and see if a subtitle appears, but so far nothing =/

Did you guys ever check that page? lol

[Raws-4U] does NOT have subs on its own.
You can find the subs for it above the torrent.
Just extract the subs in the same folder as where the video files are.

I'm such an idiot, I didn't see the extra DDL for the English Subs... xD
I think I'm going to throw myself out of the window...
