I've been looking around the internet for 3 hours now, hoping to find any solution to my icon (.ico) file thumbnail problem. And so, I turn to my favorite forum community for help
![]() I was messing around with a few things, not sure what exactly anymore and than my thumbnails suddenly refreshed. The result was that the icon thumbnails are no longer showing transparency but instead, a white box is in it's place and also the icon's image size decreases. I find this very irritating since I love to make Icon files for my personalized Anime library folders. I've tried looking around the windows registry, have all my settings of visual effects turned on, and the only files effected are my .ico files, nothing else. If anyone has and idea on how to return the transparency to the icon thumbnails, I would be very much thankful =,= All opinions, advice, and ideas are welcomed, thanks in advance! ![]() Here's a pic of the problem to help visualize:

I'm guessing your custom theme settings reset to default. I would search in your theme settings to try and find the opacy of icons. I'm not on a computer right now so I can find the exact thing to change yet. Also is that win 7?

Hmm, interesting idea, but I haven't changed windows 7's Aero theme except for the color of the transparency for the Aero windows. I'm not too sure I've seen a Win7 setting for the opacity of icons on only .ico type files. ~Thanks tho

OK! Problem solved.
~Just to double check things, I check out the folder options one more time and apparently my option "Always show icons, never thumbnails" was not checked for some reason. I feel like a complete idiot that should strip his name of "computer tech" =,= Thanks for the help! =] |
