I don't know if this has been suggested (or if I'm just retarded and it's there), but maybe allow people to view titles by the categories they were posted under? I.E., if someone is looking for some new school-life comedy, they can click on a "By Category" thing, and go from there.

Also, I love it when someone posts a preview pic in the first episode of something. Subtle suggestion imo.

That way I can get my comedy and ecchi and I wouldn't have to google for it everywhere!

Yeah i've thought of the categorize by genre before, but that will need lots of coding, but maybe it's worth it, I'll try to find a coder for this.

I'm fine with the way AnimeTake is presently, but there's nothing wrong with wanting something to grow bigger. So, let's see:

Two image galleries - one anime related (stills, movie posters, fan art, etc.), and one ecchi gallery. Galleries could be Ajax driven to maybe reduce hardcoding(umm... was it Lightbox, or something like that??), or just links to third-party hosted galleries like imagefap to limit bandwidth.

A list of links to downloads of manga related directly to anime releases. Not everyone is familiar with IRC, and the manga can sometimes add more to the anime, but not always.

OST downloads for the hardcore series fans might be nice for them.

Categories might be useful, and implementing "tags" might be easier on coding, but it will require more work from the uploader. Then again, linking to or using genre types from AnimeDB might be just as much work, so... I don't know if it will be helpful without headaches.

As long as it relates to anime, I guess anything works.

The hardest part was figuring out the best way to categorize anime without too much work from any one person. I couldn't come up with anything, unless I count the brain cramp thinking gave me.
