Default FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011 - 06-27-2011, 05:01 PM

I wondered if any other AT'ers are following the Women's World Cup matches these days? If so, who are you rooting for? Who are your favourite players? Anything related at all you want to say? Please share!

As for me, I'm of course rooting for Norway! *flags* But when Norway is not playing, I favour Japan and England. Japan won earlier today, and hopefully England will win the up-coming match.

I fancy Germany. But honestly, I totally forgot about this.

Disappointing 1-1 draw between England and Mexico.

Disappointing indeed. England played decent in the first half (at least until Mexico evened out at 30-something minutes), but then they completely fell back. One unnecessary mistake and spoiled chance after another. *shakes head* Japan is going to be a though opponent on the 5th.

Two new matches from group C today. Colombia - Sweden now, and USA - Korea later on. Who are you guys rooting for, if any? I don't really have any particular favourite team among them, but I guess I'll cheer a little extra for Sweden and Korea.

yeah, it sounds a like an excuse to me. I watched the match and the U.S found the openings in their defense to score.
