Naoki Matsuda, a former Japan international, died two days after he collapsed during a training session with a cardiac arrest. R.I.P.

At last, the new football season is on the horizon. It will start with a curtain raiser, The FA Community Shield tonight that will pits Manchester United vs Manchester City. This should be a good final match of the pre-season.

What a game and what a great comeback from United. Nani was simply superb!

2nd United goal was the cream of the crop. Scintillating series of short passes that sent Nani through for a delicate chip over Hart. And also a good performance from United's youngsters in the 2nd-half especially Tom Cleverly. Who needs Sneijder anyway?

England vs Holland friendly match has been called-off. This is most likely due to the riots happening in London. Hopefully it will not affect the Premier League's kick-off.
