How about these guidelines:

For participating:

1. All signatures submitted must have been made by the user who submits them.
2. Signatures must be within 500 pixels wide, and 300 pixels high.
3. Signatures cannot be more than 1 MB in size.
4. All signatures must follow the theme and/or any other rules designated for that week.
5. Only one entry per week, but you may change your entry by editing your post before the start of the voting.
6. Do not spam or comment in the submission thread. One post per person, and that post must include your entry.
7. Your forum signature must be disabled when you post your submission.

For voting:

1. You cannot vote if you have submitted a signature for that week.
2. Do not vote for someone simply because you like them or the render they used.
3. You do not need to post who you are if you do not feel like it.
4. If you do post who you have voted for, you must give a reason why.

When enough people agree on the theme. It's still completely open to all suggestions.

If we don't get any suggestions by the end of the day, I'll open the entry thread.

Also, you should totally join in! It doesn't matter what skill level anyone is, the more entries = the more fun the competition is. ^^

I think letting the winner have the option to choose the next theme will be interesting. If they decide not to choose, I guess we'll decide on one here in the discussion thread.
