Talking Valkyria Chronicles 2? - 07-15-2009, 10:13 AM

Announced in the latest issue of Famitsu, Valkyria Chronicles 2: The Gaul Royal Military Academy is set for the PSP and should be available for import/purchase by Christmas.

The game is set in 1937, two years after the first game. Cadets from the Gaul Royal Military Academy are sent to suppress an insurrection in the southern part of in-game country Gaul.

Hopefully cameos from the original cast.

Opinions?

sounds interesting but I worry about how it will perform on the PSP and whether it will be canon towards the original plot at all.

It's set after the first game and features characters who were in military academy being pushed into service. The PSP version will have differences in combat control to better fit the PSP.

Frankly I dont see anything wrong with it, it's not like a war strategy game is impossible on PSP. Also it's probably a filler title to keep the game in the public eye until a new PSP version can go into production since the producers of the PS3 and PSP versions are different guys.

Well, I'm just wondering whether it will feature the same art style, as the CANVAS engine was developed for the PS3.

Man this makes me feel bad I never got around to picking up the first one...

My brother made a reference to Revenge of the Nerds. He was negative eleven when it came out. I'm pretty sure that qualifies it as a classic.

You should, if you own a PS3, it should be on your top 10 games you need to pick up.

Yeah, I just haven't spotted it during one of my forays into civilization. I've had my PS3 for like 2 years and only own like 6 games, sad...
