The only point i agree on is that rank can be a bit difficult to raise due to less experienced players who especially at around 1300
but since you say you're in 1700 that shouldn't be much of a problem :/

I have to change my opinion on that now as I am in love with an extremely OP support champion....SORAKA. I kid you not no lying here you can even check my profile if you want but I do the most damage in the entire game as soraka. I go pure ap solo mid and get so fed I dominate everyone. I remember being bot with my 4 teammates dead 49 minutes in taking akali and Leblanc who ignites me upon which I ignited and silenced Leblanc and killed her then ran away with 100hp. Then noticed Jarvan who had FoN, Merc Treads, Blood thirster, Warmogs and Sunfire taking down our mid inhib with full hp and totally decimated him. I ended up with 16/2/27 as a fucking healer. My god she is OP now.

I find the best tanks are the ones who can go tank and benefit like Rammus or Galio but that isn't to say I only get armor or Magic resist as that is stupid. My favourite tank has to be Blitzcrank or Singed. Fun, get kills and never die.

I'd rather have a non-existent multi-taunt that sets EVERYONE up for an AOE splashgasm (Annie, MF, etc) then a single target where everyone just runs/flashes away. Imo, Maxing taunt first on shen, dagger, and only taking feint when needed is the way to go. Of course, this really all relies on how the rest of your team does. There's even a level of bad a great Shen can't carry.

Ninjas. Never underestimate them. I just went on a five game winning streak landslide because of his multi-taunt. IT's just too game-changing. Rammus, while being second only to shen imo, is the most scariest thing to see coming full powerball speed and flash in to a taunt. For ganking, Rammus is top pro and I shit brix. For sustained tank, Shen is much better. For a douchebag, Alistar takes the cake.

Sure, if you've got a good team who know when to attack immediatly when somone initiates rather than standing a whole screen distance away.
But for most ppl you get matched with you need a longer single taunt to keep the enemy's nukes and dps from destroying your team, plus since it's a mana cost spell you can use it alot more in a teamfight with the cowardly team.

I'm not going to say I'm in ELO hell or I'm SUPER High, but generally in regular, average ELO (Me, my friends on vent) have fun comprising teams like that. The odd thing? I tank better on Shen on random Queue.

Generally I just get people when they see shen, they know when I go in it means initiate. On rammus (who I've also played a fair bit) they generally don't follow me into a powerball--->taunt combo. It's easier with shen too, if multiples are in the way. Especially if annie has a charged bomb or Mf is behind you. Just asking in the menu for people to play AOE ults when I take Shen works a lot too. AOE Meta is still more than viable, though people still love tanky dps and such.

Haha, when i play rammus the only time tanking and damage are connected is when the enemy try to initiate or one of my friends is with me @.@

The only tank I can play in the whole game is Amumu in Jungle & Chogath/Leona in top solo lane.

Ok guys now that I've through the god knows how many pages to catch up....

it seems its time for tank 1on1 time.

There are three types of tanks in lol:

1. Threat (the tank you run from eg Morde/singed)
2. Control (the CC tank eg Amu/leona)
3. Meatshield (the support type tank, Taric/Alistar)

Now that does not mean everyone falls under just one of these groups. And not all of them are considered tanks, there just beefy as all hell.

And a sudden pang of laziness befell me, guess you guys can figure out the rest pretty easily from just those 3 groups.

In fact that's something for you peeps to talk about; start putting champions into groups, interested to see what you guys come up with.
