Cool Terraria - 05-25-2011, 08:19 PM

I love this game. It's like if Minecraft was made back in the 2d Era, and fused with contra.

I've spent soo much time in this game over the last four days, it's kind of sad. However, it's easy to learn and very intuitive if you've ever played minecraft.

Anyone else rocking it out?

Yeah I have it, it is very addicting. But at some points can be a little annoying, like slimepocalypse.

Have it and been playing multiplayer with fellow AT members over the last week or so. Fun stuff though a tad too addictive at times.

a TAD? It's so addictive I almost forgot to eat dinner and do my daily chores, and my friend almost missed work. It's way too addictive for anybody's own good. So nice to try to gear up and then spawn raid bosses. If you don't like that, then it's all minecraft all the time - just build and tunnel. So much fun I lose track of my own day and night cycle. I think I need a watch.

I was going to play it with a friend, but then you need XNA 4.0 in order to run it so I downloaded that, but you first need Visual Basic 2010 so I downloaded that, but then you need .net 4.0 installed as well - at which point I stopped caring.

It looks and sounds intriguing and everyone seems to rave on about, but why on earth would you need so much extraneous shit installed is beyond me.

I can't speak for why you'd need all of it as I don't claim to know the programming, just know from my point of view and others, if you don't mind spending the time TO care, you'd have an excellent game awaiting you. I know I was originally put off by needing the 4.0 and redist, but I just did that as I went to bed, so that's not much needing to care, honestly.

But hey, it's your time. I can't tell you to do it. But you should.
