An Asian martial-arts MMORPGame in development by Korean game developer NCsoft.
Same team that made Lineage2.

Races

Only two races have been officially revealed: the Jin and Gon.
However, it is suggested that a third race (possibly a fox-like character who appeared in the trailer video) will be implemented.

Jin
Visually similar to humans, Jin specialize in sword-based combat.

Gon
Physically stronger and larger than humans, Gon specialize in hand-to-hand combat.

Unnamed Fox-like Race
Small and petite characters with fox-like tails and ears, they seem to specialize in speed-based combat.
There is speculation that they can transform into a fox-like were-form as seen in the trailer.

Features

The trailer video revealed that players will be able to combo skills, and that players will be able to jump and dash while in mid-air, through a system called QingGong. According to an interview with the Development Director, players will also be able to make wine and pottery.

Exclusive deal with Sony

During E3 2007, Sony revealed that they had entered into an exclusive deal with NCsoft to produce new titles exclusively for the Playstation3 . This contract included titles from both existing intellectual properties owned by NCsoft as well as new IPs.

With Blade & Soul being one of the first new titles announced from NCsoft since Aion: Tower of Eternity, several gamers assumed Blade & Soul to be a Playstation3 game. However, in an interview, the production director stated that the game is PC exclusive at the moment while suggesting that if there were more people on the development he wouldn't mind seeing a Playstation3 version as well.

As you can see on the trailers and game screens, the chara design looks a lot like the "Magna Carta" one.
For those who've played Lineage2, they'll recognize the character voices, when they hit, do a skill or w/e, they took the same sounds as in Lineage2.

Anyway, I really hope that this one gets on Playstation3 also and if not,
hope for a soon NCSoft release on Playstation3 !!

Well..i'm with Ika here seriously they fail on making magna carta why? because the game play sucks, two their no story, three the rating is so bad, four and on and on....and Ika for RO2 no it not out yet or it's still on beta i think....RO(iro) sucks ball too so they should DIES!! farking waisted my effort and slow improving...so yeah.

duzgino - the picture look hot so i'm stealing it..and i'll check the trailers out and see if this going to fails like Magna Car..whatever tire of typing it...

They just got same chara design.. NCSoft didn't make Magna Carta!
Test once Lineage2 and then you'll know what Blade and Soul will be like..

I'll repeat, this game, has nothing to do with Magna Carta.
And I dunno yet about the game, since there's no gameplay trailer yet, well they show'd us, the fights and w/e, but not how it goes...
All MMORPG so far were, not boring but close to it, you know, all ppl runing at same speed (maybe a little difference) and w/e, so I would wait for a gameplay or test preview before saying it'll suck or not...
And so far, it didn't disapoint me, graphically..
