It was a pretty mediocre pilot. Kakeru seems to have injured his left leg and is afraid to use it again. He's probably mentally blocking himself from using it.

Talented elder brother should've been the main character

The elder brother Suguru is a renowned player who's really talented and is obviously annoyed at his little brother's wimpy attitude. I'd be annoyed too if he had that stupid smile plastered on his face.

Anyway, the Grey alien could be his crush Seven or maybe some character that we haven't been introduced to. There wasn't much soccer considering this is a soccer anime, but for the time being it seems that its leaning towards the more realistic side.

Too soon to judge this anime but the story won't really start until the wimpy brother starts using his left leg.

Apparently many people are comparing this to Touch or Cross Game. This anime does have a certain earthy feel to it but it still has to establish that.

Those who've read the manga have definitely taken a liking to this. This raises my expectations a little. The next episode might clue me in.

If the brother would be the main character this would be plain boring. It was an ok start for this anime. We do need more Giant Killing though.

First tennis and now soccer. Is this gonna be a year of sport anime? ^^
It's so refreshing watching something like this since I just had a flashback to my childhood and my first soccer anime ever, so nostalgic!
This looks promising. I'm gonna give it a try.

Never got into watching sport anime nor reading manga. But I still gave a shot... and nope, I couldn't bring myself to like it... I slept through half way.

I'll give another episode a go but sport anime never intrigues me in anyway...

Usually I don't watch sports anime, but I thought to give it a chance to this one and after seeing the first episode I started liking it. I will watch more episodes cause it seems interesting. XD
