I don't know about anyone else but I owned a few systems that almost no one I know even remembers, much less played, so I figured those of us who know and remember some of these forgotten systems could reminisce a bit.

I conned my mom into getting a Virtual Boy for me when it first came out and probably spent like 2 months beating the crap out of Mario Tennis and making my face itch because that pad they had attached to it was far from comfortable. And red being the only color you'd see just made it oh so fun.

Since I'm already on the note of only seeing red, the R-Zone was another system I wasted a good few months on as well. Who didn't want to strap their handheld to their head and have an eyepiece flip down as their screen?

Ahhh the Game.com. A store was going out of business nearby and they went on super sale and I could finally afford one. I bought it up as soon as I could get myself there because I NEEDED a handheld system that could plug into the internet. Only problem was I still didn't have internet back then, but hey, I got to play a crap ton of Solitaire and Light Up, and since I was like 8 I could keep all of my 4 friends numbers in the build in contacts phone book, yay for technology!

Ooo... *stands at attention* *salutes Dreamcast* LOL.

I shall never forget the day I got my beautiful Sega Dreamcast... playing that thing was like a dream... that like lasted a year. LOL. I remember my dumb PS2 preorder got delayed like six months or something, so I went ahead and bought a Dreamcast. And that's when I met my soulmate... Shenmue. LOL. Seriously... I loved Shenmue so much... that was my game... I loved everything about it.

But then soon after... the Dreamcast died... not talking about the console... talking about the entire franchise. LOL. *holds moment of silence* But at least I got to play Shenmue II on my cousin's X-box.

What, so you never had a Neo-Geo?

I mean, at $650 for the console and $199 per cartridge... who didn't own one?

Got an Amiga 1200, 2 SNES, Mega Drive, 3D0, 3 playstations, 3 ps2, 2 Dreamcasts, 2 N64. None of them work well.

Doesn't matter though as I've a couple of heavily modified, old style xbox which I use for emulating older consoles. Dreamcast is still my favourite console though.

Oh my goodness, the cartridge system! It's amazing how technology advance over a couple of years. I remember I kept bugging my dad to get the cartridges and what he did was to get those many in 1 (like 30 games in 1) so I would not run out of games to play. The days where simple graphics make one happy. Nowadays, many people are always unsatisfied with the new games =/
