and there i hoped this website won't turn in one of those 'pay and you get more' websites

it all starts with "lets make a donator section just for a test"
keep this up and in couple of years you will be charging for downloads
i'm not exagerating it's true.....

I don't see animetake charging for downloads in the future. That would kill their popularity. If they wanted $ they could just sell the site for I think it was...a quarter million? Or something.

I'm a bit confused though. Is it just for faster downloads? Or does it have some anime on it we don't see in the regularly posted anime download sections? Like an Archive of all anime ever posted? (Because I know some of the download links get removed/reported).

I know you said PM for more info. But just in case it's not clear to others as well... =p.

Its just a dedicated server so you don't have to use another source such as megaupload ect. The a nice selection of full anime series/ movie's on it though most of the stuff you see posted in the anime downloads forms section I think.

no not really, all this time we have been using a dedicated server and 75% of the time it is standing idle waiting for anime, now think about it... isn't that kinda wasting resources? So i thought the donators can recieve a little treat thats all, I don't think i will accept many people to this TBH i dont know what kind of effects it will have on the server if like a lot of people start downloading at once, because posting anime on the site is top priority.

Only thing i got against it is that the price is too high(for me at least) >.<

Around $5-6/month is good, but $10/month is more expensive than megaupload premium, animedistro, narutofan(lol yes) and many other sites.

yeah thing is I don't want many premiums as that would reduce the quality of the server/speed.

+ this premium is meant for people who want to donate, and donations of 5-6$ is not very good since 50cents get taken from paypal fee reducing like 10% of the donation. If i wanted to get loads of premiums and make lots of money i could sell it cheaper but then it wouldn't have the same value as the legendary server

Ahh! threads like this keep reminding me that I'm dead broke!

I don't see why people have a prob. with this.I see no reason to fault Naga for trying to earn an extra buck here as it doesnot affect us non-donors anyway.AT will remain AT except for a few green colored names here and there!

In fact Naga's being pretty selflless in restricting the no. of donors so that it doesn't burden the AT server.So all ye people having an issue with this ought to cease your whining and find other things to bitch about!
