Glad you're liking those shows.I've heard about Slow Dance but never got around to watching it.It seems to have garnered pretty high viewership ratings and reviews so it might be pretty good show.Let me know if it turns out to be mind blowing awesome!

Well yeah, started on Pride, finished Utahime (nagase tomoya ftw) and Kimi wa Petto (lolworthy show). Oh and I couldn't resist to take a sneak peek on Freeter, watched the first 4 episodes, lookin decent.

btw, have you watched Slow Dance? was randomly browsing around on d-addcits and found it. First episode gave me a positive impression, hopefully shit won't let me down as its a rather old series too.

Aye no kidding.. was looking for some fresh stuff but all you stumble upon today is crap like YankeeMegane (not to mention tokujo kabachi, beyond me how i managed to finish it), which left me greatly disappointed. But as I'm still a novice jdorama fan i haven't gone through all the good ol' stuff. In other words, this list you dug up for me will keep me busy for quite some time indeed.

I'll put that new one on-hold for the time being and pray for new fantabulous romance doramas to be produced while I'm finishing off the older titles. Well dude, very much appreciate you providing me with some quality dramas to watch, kudos to ya. also, lol at Kimi wa Petto!

Well,to be frank Verit,I'm totally dry on the Jdorama front because it seems 'GLORIOUS NIPPON' no longer has the ability to make a decent romantic dorama anymore.I mean all I'm asking for is a heartwarming story with the occasional tear jerking and some mushy(hell I don't even mind corny and unbearably cheesy)romance thrown in but the last two years have been flat out terrible on that end..and all we seem to be getting is an endless dose of crime procedurals,Buddy cop shows(Blatant American tv show ripoff's and not half as good:/) and lots of Wincest... lacking the Win

So I just skipped back a few years into the past when Japan still catered to my tastes rather than trying to be the New Land Of Faggotry, and I unearthed a few titles that revived my faith in the Wapanese .Since you've asked for mushy romance, here we go-
    Pride:-

I loved this show.Takuya Kimura is a Royal douchebag and all.. but he's acted in some of the best dorama's ever and this one's certainly one of his best.

    Love Generation:-

Takuya Kimura again and the show that made him the king of all Douche bags and good romance.

    Boku Dake No Maddona:-

This show kinda got boring in the middle but heroine looks absolutely gorgeous and I liked the romance.

    Kimi Wa Petto-

    LOL JAPAN!

    Utahime-

More of a comedy than a romance but boy was it funny!

These shows should fix you romance craving needs for the time being(that is if you haven't seen them all already). Also this season there finally seems to be an answer to my prayers-

Only a couple of episodes in but I loved both of 'em to bits.Is this the next Love shuffle!?I guess only time will tell.

By the way,Maou was entertaining but tokujo kabachi straight on SUCKED.Have yet to see another Dorama like Maou but I'll let you know if I find one.

hey bro, got any new dorama recommendations? I just finished Maou (and tokujo kabachi!!). Maou was pretty decent imo however as a romancefag i'm slightly disappointed after all.. got anything similar? Read somewhere Maou was a remake of a popular suspense kdrama but i dunno, imma have a look nonetheless.

Otomen,eh!?I'll be sure to check it out in the future.
As for hanayome it was pretty enjoyable but kinda fizzled out in the ending but I think it's worth a watch. Also there's a new Nagase Tomoya(My Boss,My hero..,Tiger and Dragon fame) show airing in Japan at present-

just finished watching Otomen if you've watched it? well, it was a fun ride but after watching the last episode I realized how much it lacked haha, so many unanswered questions... it could've been so much better, like some more development between the supporting characters and not just the protagonists... /end rant.

anyway I'm downloading that other show you recommended me, hanayome something, it better be good!
