I finally got Fang in my party. I'm gonna have a hard time deciding on my main party.

That was the reason the director chose to make it so linear... so people got involved in the story rather than wandering around and getting lost. Really though, the whole linear issue is being blown out of proportion... FFX is one of the most beloved in the series (and one of my three favorites) and it's completely linear. The maps were just pathways to your destination like 13... and nobody complained.

So you've actually been playing FF13... did you get an import or something? What did you think about it being so "linear"?

It certainly seems like you'll be a FF fan after this game. You should really check out the "classics" like FFX... if you don't mind ps2 graphics.

What the hell joshi... that means you've missed some of the greatest games in the history of mankind.

Uncharted2 - Linear ass game that only looks good in cutscenes.
Killzone2 - Linear ass game that uses blur to hide shit textures
Heavyrain - Linear ass game that uses fixed cameras(lol) and minimal player control
