These forums can have a steep learning curve. I had no idea what I was doing either when I first joined. Some quickies:

Don't "double post"... having two posts in a row is frowned upon (and actually if a super mod or admin notices you'll get a warning)
If you ever need to add something to your existing post, just go to your post itself, and in the bottom right side are little icons for editing your comment. Just click the edit button to make any changes or additions in your post.

And when you request an anime in the request anime thread, you just have to check back every now and then to see if "the man" wolf23 posted it, which is almost a guarantee. Sometimes other members will post a request too.

Once you get your avatar set up, and maybe a profile pic, you should make an intro.
