A manga adaptation of the Visual Novel. Many people wanted to have more of tomoyo's story in the visual novel so they made another visual novel only dedicated to tomoyo. In my opinion it's better than the original storyline. Well, most of us don't have time for visual novels, or learning japanese since the game isn't fully translated. actually you can find "somewhere" a complete (well, all of the script translated) patch for the original VN...

In my opinion it's better than the original storyline.

No... CLANNAD got translated by a bunch of people on baka-tsuki.org. People took the scripts off the wiki and made a kind of unofficial 'beta' patch and because of that they have yet to bother releasing an official edited patch. You should still be able to find the unofficial patch at hongfire.com forums somewhere.

Tomoyo After is a different game based on, as is obvious, Tomoyo. If this visual novel does get translated, there's a good chance it'll happen here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

with original VN we mean the original clannad, it's like you said, but i find hard thinking tomoyo after as a classic VN

it's neither a fan story or a doujin, it's an alternative setting of the story where in the end Tomoya goes out with Tomoyo
