about Guts the Black Swords man?



Berserk's setting is inspired by medieval Europe. It centers around the life of Guts, an orphaned mercenary warrior, and Griffith, the leader of a mercenary band called the Band of the Hawk. As he ages, Guts changes from a solitary boy into a man who realizes the value of camaraderie. The story contains elements of both fantasy and horror, as it explores both the best and worst of human nature. Both the manga and anime are noted for their heavy violence.

"Is reading"... that sounds so nice. Sadly, it's been on hold for ages now, with only a few episodes released in the last years. The best manga of all times deserves much better than this.

a chapter comes in like once every 6months...super annoying. I would suggest stop ready and wait about 10yrs for it to finish. Then read it straight.

on a side note the Anime is much like a prequel to the main manga story line.

The Anime is not the "PREQUEL" as you state, is based in the Golden Age arc on the manga.

it is if you..watch the anime and then start ready the manga at vol (13? maybe 9, cant remember where the show leaves off and the manga starts)

anyway I was saying it is a prequel to the main story line because if one assumed the manga will be anything like the anime...your in for a surprise. the golden age is night and day different from the rest of the series. (reminds me of gantz in that way....getting more and more absurd, in a kick *&$ way, all the time)

very true...

yeah i am near volume 33 - 34 though the few places that have downloads of it are so disorganized it is getting harder to find it. One of my earliest mangas I started reading so i hope it keeps going but only quicker releases.

funny thing is as the manga progresses guts gets old like white hair streak were i am reading... sometimes I thats whats the reader will have..... white hair before this thing is done
