What Happened to GTO - Shonan 14 Days??

When I heard the news that GTO would be back, i was ecstatic. I loved the first arc (that is up to say about chapter 16 with the girl and daddy issues). the ekichi meets up with his old girlfriend and then puff! nothing. I havent seen any updates since chapter 21. does anyone know why?
