Crocodile is another nice example. His a logia user, which already means their arn't many out there who can injure him. Just like with Ace, the Marines went, shit, their's only a handful of guys we have who can touch with him, lets recruit him asap.

Of course the Bounties don't represent their strength. I mean look at Luffy's bounty, or any of the super nova's. They'll get pawned by a shichibukai anyday. In fact, any Vice-admiral would give em trouble, even if they ganged up of him.

With Mihawk, his bounty can be increadiably low or high. Low as in since he fought on par with WB and Roger Pirates at such a young age, he might have been invited to join asap seeing his potential or that since he only challenged WB and Roger, he wasn't much of a threat to the Marines as he didn't kill inocent bystanders like Kid, and thus wasn't giving a bounty. It might be high, in that Mihawk refused to become a shichibukai, since his goal is to become the strongest, however since Roger died, he changed his mind, but by then his bounty would have increase hugely.

So, how long do you think it will be until they are reunited? (in chapter numbers please...))

My guess : 20-25.

I would say about 10 chapters as they are now aiming to meet up, and since they'll prob be 2 character stories per chapter, it'll go by quickly. Besides, Chopper is already on his way there. The news would be interesting tough, what about Luffy? Whats happening again? A new bounty?

At least we now know Luffy is gonna get trained up by Rayleigh. And hopefully Zoro would have learnt how to use haki seeing that his training partner uses ghost.

Awesome chapter. Rayleigh showing up to train Luffy and then seeing the stories of his crew in the next few chapters. I think what Chopper saw was the huge bounty on Luffy's head, 1,000,000,000.

i dont think so...Chopper was Scared rather than shocked...maybe he attacked a marine base or sth..!? to steal the calm belt passing ship?! that could be rayliegh's plan

his plan is most likely to train luffy into getting a little stronger.


and chopper probably saw luffy's new bounty, which is why he said "WHY AGAIN?!"

so far both usopp and chopper know about ace's death from the newspaper, but luffy's involvement in the war might not have been published in it.

chopper (and usopp) are on their way to sabaody for the same reason that luffy is, it's where they need to meet up again before resuming their journey.

so i reckon that the reason that chopper is so shocked is because he can't imagine luffy doing anything worth his current bounty in such a short space of time.
