let's see I will try and list some manga that have not (yet dammit) been made into anime

The Breaker (and it's sequel The Breaker: New Waves):

Technically a manwha but it is still one of the better shonen fighting series there is, it has quite a slow start but once you get into the momentum it really starts getting good

Holy land: (has a live drama although haven't watched it)

More of a seinen story about street fighting with input of actually quite (to some extent at least) factual martial arts fighting styles.

Yotsuba&!:

Innocent light-hearted comedy made by the maker of Azumanga Daioh

and since you are into sports manga you might also want to check out the original of some of the famous ones that you without a doubt have seen as anime, like Hajime no Ippo and Eyeshield 21, as their original manga at times are actually better than the anime.

Sadly The Breaker has only as far as I know been published in France Russia and italy outside of S-Korea (source: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ])

so if you really want hard copies you will probably have to order them from where they have been published, or perhaps trying through auctionsites etc.

manwha generally is not as common as manga so it sadly is quite hard to come by.

Hmmm if you want something really similar to it try metallica metalluca, it is pretty much the same kind of story, though I think it was cancelled and didn't get many chapters out but some enjoyment can be found at least.

Otherwise if you haven't read Toriko do it, i have a firm belief the manga is better than the anime adaption (which I okay but a tad more campy)

Depends on how popular the series is among the online community, and demand of course. Id suggest you check out your local bookstore, or check online. The ones near me have a pretty decent manga library. Don't know where you live lol.

For those who've read Higurashi no Naku Koro ni...

Is the manga better than the anime?
Trying to decide which to watch/read first...

And also, what order is the manga in? Or what's the best order to read them in?
...Seems a little confusing to me...
