hi,
Was just wondering what you guys think about this war. Will it mark the end of war or the writer would continue with the series bringing some new twist which are not revealed yet and would be revealed during war.
I have no idea but my guts are saying this war might be the end of naruto.
What you guys think ?

Would be kinda nice in a way, even though I like this series. It does seem like it's dragged on a lot, especially with all the filler. Would be nice to have a definite sense of closure. (I guess that sounded kinda gay, but this is Naruto we're talking about lol)

yup agree with you but the hardcore fans wont like it though.
I want the series to continue. but the manga is good but anime is having lots of fillers and its getting lil bit dragged over there.

I guess since I never really got into the manga, maybe I have a skewed sense of things. Well, I won't complain either way, just hope things get back on track with the main plot soon.

Since the ending of a series depends 95% of the times in how much the manga is selling, and the position it's in internally with the publishing company when compared to others, The end of Naruto is still nowhere near yet. The regular story, this being naruto and sazuke's fight and the war, might come to a close soon but it does not necesarily mean naruto is over. This already happened to bleach. They just need to create or leave some unfinished business.

Actually the anime is extremely close to the manga. Anime (before fillers) got to chapter 491 of the manga, the manga is on chapter 554 right now. That is 65 chapters ahead, and for those who don't know, 1 anime episode is about 2.5 - 3 manga chapters, 2 when the animators are really pushing it. So, the anime is about 25 episodes behind the manga. If you consider the fact that an episode has to be completely ready 3 weeks ahead of schedule and it also needs at least to more weeks of preparation and animation, it's about 20 episodes behind the manga. Also consider the fact that the manga takes a break once every 10 weeks (average), so... ITS PRETTY DAMN CLOSE and they CANNOT risk something happening suddenly so that's why THEY HAVE TO MAKE FILLERS (seen as a business).

more fillers might botch up the war arc and then it might have to end up keep going past that. Anime sucks so much with filler but the manga is actually good and getting better.

Until Naruto doesn't learn the thunder god technique I don't want to see the manga end, but in all honesty I don't think we will see many more chapters after the war is over, looked like Danzo past endevours and becoming temp Hokage might have spurted out a arc or two with the enemy being one from within but that didn't happen, then looked like Kabutomaru might end up being a dark horse enemy but again that doesn't look like it will happen.

So things going the way they are I think a year or two and the manga will be over. Unless ofcourse Sasuke story takes a drastic turn it, then might be longer.
