Has anyone watched this? This is my next series after Love Shuffle. I'm on the 2nd episode... and it's a bit whacked, but in a good way. It's about a japanese otaku who falls in love with a girl he meets on the subway, who he saves from a drunken old guy. The otaku must be one of the dorkiest guys I've ever seen in real or make-belief life. And he solicits help from a chat board to help him in his endeavors. The internet chat exchanges (topic threads) are really neat and the show itself is really interesting, probably because it's about otaku life. This show is super corny (especially the dream sequences) but I would recommend it to anyone who considers himself/herself a true otaku or anyone who's ever had others look down upon their otaku stature. This series will make you feel good about being an otaku. Enough said. lol.

Yup, a true story, although the TV series was an exegaration and something that was made up (Love rival part).

I liked it a lot. It was really funny. And Oguri Shun's character is flippin awesome. Be prepared for a lot of crying, as the main character cries in almost every episode.

I detested the live action, they tried to give the online public a persona which in my opinon didn't do just. Would've been better had there not been that personafication of the netizens. Props to the creepyness of the otaku though, truly played the geek well.
