It cracks me up how often "newbies" post "Hey - I'm New blah, blah, blah," and then get pounced on with "READ THE RULES & STICKIES!!"

Perhaps the people who "rule" AT or created the code (control the posting functions?) could be restricted from "posting at all" until they go to a specific 'Thread' and introduce themselves - then a Moderator can "Unlock" them.

I come to these threads to see How Little they offer in the Intro and then the reaction by senior members - It never gets old.
