Hello everyone, as you might suspect I'm the veritable new member. I'm often leery of introduction topics but, as I think avoiding it outright might come as rather blunt, I'll try to make the best of it.

I've watched anime from an early age; for the past decade or so, however, I've been more of a casual watcher maybe catching 1 or 2 series a year when I discover something that catches my eye. I've tried getting back to it recently but, with the wonderful world of the internet I now find myself exposed to a myriad of different things I could watch.

Most of these, sadly, appear to be of dubious quality or simply not aligned with my interests. I seems my best choice is to group up with knowledgeable and surely charming individuals such as the lot of you to try to vanquish my deep rooted ignorance of all things anime and hopefully discover a little gem or two.

That being said, here's some bullet points to sink your teeth into:

General Info

• * My name is Federico
• * I'm 27 years old and live in Argentina
• * I work on (and partially own) a small software development company; I take care of graphic and interface design as well as all the other little tasks that come with working for yourself.
• * I've studied both Sociology and Graphic Design though (sadly for the latter) I've not been able to finish my course of studies yet.
• * I'm quite fond of videogames and have been since my early days. As with series, you'll see that I'll pretty much try every genre though sports games and games with lots of anal micromanagement and silly learning curves tend to bore me.

Anime Info

I've watched a variety of series and enjoyed a variety of genres, if anything I try to stay away from romantic comedies or very obvious action titles nowadays (though I've enjoyed both in the past.)
I'm quite fond of videogames and have been since my early days

My memory is not what it used to but here's a few titles that have made an impression throughout the years: Neon Genesis Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, Hundred Stories (aka. Requiem from the Darkness), Boogiepop Phantom, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Karas (the Raven), Revolutionary Girl Utena and many more that I can probably try to remember later.

Kudos and many welcomes to you. Though you are still quite a few behind me I am always happy to see new members that are a bit aged. Your favs are all great except for many Boogiepop Phantom.

As for new jems try BAKEMONOGATARI and ISEKAI no SEIKISHI for series. For movies Ninja Scroll and all the Ghost In The Shell are a must see. Series too for the matter. Most of the movies by Ghibli are all great also.
