Hello everyone! My name is Glenn Madrid (Pro initials right?

) and I'm currently living in California while attending my senior year at high school (17 years of age). I want to get into the medical field when I graduate, if not music is there for me. I'm also filipino and male for those who are curious. I prefer being called by Ketai or Akusei (Ket or Aku for short) but my real name is fine too.
If I remember correctly, I first started watching anime back when Toonami was airing on Cartoon Network on television. I gradually took a liking to the shows they aired (classic DBZ, Gundam Wing, Tenchi Muyo!, Samurai Jack, etc). and when I got my first computer I would always look up random anime to watch in whatever quality (e.g - Youtube quality/eyecancerous quality. I was a noob at quality back then). After I built my new computer from scratch, I learned mainly about resolution and a lot on quality (Video cards n' such), I was in need of a site that would air recent anime from Japan and
bam, my friend recommended Animetake and my boundless love for the site began, downloading and watching whatever you guys upload. I cannot stress how much I want to thank you guys for your work.
I watch anime whenever I have
any food. I prefer watching
action and
comedy/slice of life but I'm pretty much open to most of the genres (I also read manga but not quite as often as the casual reader). I also prefer downloading over streaming anime. After being a designated watcher, I started compiling and archiving a favorite list.
Out of the many favorites hidden in the depths of my collection, a few have to be:
Clannad (Both Seasons) - Clannad is, to me, one of the best comedy/slice of life shows I've ever seen and will be on my recommended list to anyone, it also gave me man tears.
Code Geass - Code Geass kept my brain overflowing with vast amounts of awesomeness.
Hajime no Ippo - One of the best/classics for if not only sports but comedy also. The matches gave me chills, the details overflowing, the comedy making me forget the genre.
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann - TTGL gave my brain an orgy and then made it explode, my body was not ready to witness the plethora of win.
Some of my other favorites include:
Ah! My Goddess!
Air TV
Bakemonogatari
Bamboo Blade
Claymore
Cowboy Bebop
Full Metal Panic (All seasons)
Grand Teacher Onizuka
Kanon (2006)
Katanagatari
Kemeko DX
Prince of Tennis
Seto No Hanayome
Shakugan no Shana (I and II, and possibly the third)
Slam Dunk
Spice and Wolf (I and II and maybe the third, possibility)
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Favorite Anime Movies:
Summer Wars - The world of OZ, Family, and Hanafuda. In my honest opinion, the movie that did gaming culture right.
Sword of the Stranger - EPIC ANIMATION!
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time - The power to go back in time never ceases to amaze me, and with a mix of a tale of love.
The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya - Been waiting for this forever, and they delivered. Heartwarming Kyon, Alternative Yuki (I
d’aaaaww~’d), Ryouko's knive moment (I
wtf'd).
Currently Watching - Ruroni Kenshin (again), Star Driver, To Aru Majutsu no Index II, Arakawa Under the Bridge, Scrapped Princess, Psychic Detective Yakumo (not as much since the season is ending).
Besides watching anime on a daily basis, other hobbies include:
~Playing piano (Self taught for 4 years now, I take requests~)
~Running (3-4 mile runs once a week, gotta stay healthy

).
~Music (Most types, usually instrumental/orchestra/trance/techno, some classic. Collecting OSTs and stuff from anime and picking out certain instrumental tracks and putting them in a list).
~Videogames (RPG's, SRPG's, FPS', all kinds really. Faves include: Tales of Symphonia, Final Fantasy 7, 8, 9, Disgaea, Katamari!)
~Electronics (Upgrading my computer parts/shopping for parts/building for other people, all that geek stuff. I can try to help if needed also!)
Other than that, I'm always up for any recommendations and discussions on anime or computer help. I do piano requests (usually anime/game related, pop songs seem a little reptitive to me), don't be afraid to ask

. Sorry about the plethora of text you might of or might not have read in my intro but I think this is a proper introduction after being a leecher for awhile

.
Anyway, I hope I can contribute to the fun of the community/site as well as meet new people. Last but not least, nice to meet you all!
