If WsE was smart he'd have the introduction rules set at the top of the page in the introduction section. So even if you click on a thread to view, you'll immediately see the rules and have to scroll down to see the thread and then reply. Same for posting a new thread in that particular section.

Examples:

Age?
How did you find animetake?
Favourite Anime Series?
Where are you from?
Occupation?

You don't have to write a novel about yourself, and there's no need to give private information if you're not willing. But if you only say hello your introduction will get chewed. We like our animu so at the very least write something about your series/genres so we can relate. After all, that's why we're here!
