Default so new its not funny... - 11-07-2010, 10:04 AM

hello everyone,
I am phantom guy (or just phantom) and this is honest to god the first time i've ever posted in a forum, so don't really know what to say. I guess, i found anime take when I was looking for a place to get, well, anime. I have been lurking for some time looking at others posts and thought that this would be fun. I really only got into anime about 6 months ago, but according to my friend, at the rate i'm watching it, I will run out of good ones very soon. Current favorite/s: MM!, The world god only knows, Bakuman and Sora no Otoshimono... so yeah. I don't even know if this will post 'cus i've never started a thread... Hi anyway!

Hey. Your friend speaks BS, don't listen to him/her/it. As you advance in the dark ways of anime you'll realize how bad friend he/she/it was.

Tell us where r u from, and if you have seen Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann or Code Geass.

Oh and welcome.

Now you should ALL go watch this movie "Tangshan Dadizhen" (or "Aftershock" in English) right now. NOW.

Finally, a pic.

From what you've said so far you haven't even seen any of what I call "the greats". Code Geass, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Cowboy Bebop, Wolf's Rain, Gundam Wing, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Full Metal Alchemist. These are a few of the high profile ones you should consider watching as soon as possible. They are complex in story and the characters have a lot of depth. Anyway, welcome to AT. Remember to read the rules. Happy posting!

Ok, it's decided. I will now watch Code Geass. And I have also been recommended Full Metal Alchemist, so that also goes on the list. Btw, what are thos things you guys have under your posts? I gotta get me one of those.

Running out of good anime sounds like the words that would be spoken from someone that's only been exposed to the series on the cartoon network and sci fi channel.

I agree with most of the series that's been recommended to you so far, but it's all action. Broaden your horizon with slice of life/comedy such as Toradora and Welcome to the NHK.
