Tales From Earthsea
[Gedo Senki]

Plot Summary
Goro Miyazaki's debute feature as director, Tales from Earthsea is an epic adventure, adapted from the much-loved series of novels by Ursula K. Le Guin.

It tells the story of Ged (voiced in English by Timothy Dalton), the most powerful wizard in Earthsea, and his attempts to protect Prince Arren (Matt Levin) from the evil machinations of rival wizard Cob (Willem Dafoe). Together with Therru, a young girl he rescues from slave takers, Arren must unite with Ged to defeat Cob and return balance to their world.

Beautifully animated, Tales from Earthsea will enchant viewers of all ages and once again show Studio Ghibli at the height of its powers.

Most of the comments on this movie's torrent counterpart seemed positive.
More than a few hailed it as one of their favorite Ghibli films ever made.

comparing this to rest of GS movies , this wont get close to likes of P.Mononoke or spirited Away or even Whisper of the heart but still a good movie.
this is personal opinion though.

Hmm, ok, good to know. I loved Spirited Away, that was one of the most EPIC animated movies that I had ever seen ^_^
So, if its a fraction's worth of spirited away, than it seems worth watching =D

After hearing years ago that Hayao's son was making a movie (against hayao's recommendation that he shouldn't) I was eager for it to be released... then it finally was, and after the first scene involving a couple sweetass dragons, I was ready for the reign of the new Miyazaki... then there's the rest of the movie, which was a slight disappointment. It was a good movie with decent animation, but Goro has a long way before he makes a movie than can even touch one of Hayao's.

If anyone has seen the movie Origins, I'd say Earthsea is in that class.
