For people who wanted to know what the show was like:
It's a re~~eally mellow comedy that makes jokes about everyday life in more-or-less normal situations.
(Thought I'd put out my two cents even though the thread 8 months old.)

This is one of the best animes ever but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone without a fair bit of knowledge on Japanese pop culture. Most of what makes it funny and enjoyable will go over your head.

FYI any big fans of the series, there's a complete bluray boxset, complete with extras and the live concert, out in May. The Japanese release says it will have English subs too, but I'm expecting plenty of engrish.

Honestly if you can't stand Slice of Life, this show probably would cause you to have multiple brain lesions. If you aren't sure about the genre, or are a fan, this will change your mind/blow your mind.
