Not long at all. Just spend some time getting ot know what the tools really do, do some experimenting on your own with a few pictures and renders, and you'll get the hang of it easily.

You will have to mend your own style, as it can't be defined by someone else. God, did that sound cheesy or what?

I've got no talent in art really.
At least not for designing sigs >.>
I like building things a lot more.

Try adding some borders Kal and maybe darken haruhi's reflection try filtering out some of the blue edges it would look alot cooler imo.
My latest, The render wasn't that good but I tried it out nevertheless.

@weika
Nice sig. I like the way you used the C4Ds and effects to spice it up. Keep one thing in mind, try not to use more than one render on a sig. Sometimes you'll see sigs that have more than one render, but usually it's not the case. Using more than one render will take away its focal point.

@Volture
I really like the Full Metal one. I like how you used the dark shades of green and blue, complimented with black on both. It looks amazing. And the rest look awesome too, I just like that the most.

Just get either PS or GIMP and mess around abit with tut's and you'll be able to make sig's in no time

But other than that, nice sig you've made there. Maybe you could sharpen the render a bit, and put some effects into the background by using some C4Ds or stock image.
Yea its a face ^^ wasnt sure what to put there since it looked to empty if i left it blank but still I dont want it to take away the focus on the render :/
and there is a good reason for the render to be abit blury ^^ no matter how I tried the wings wont come out sharp enough to look good without some FX on the render >.< Last, I still havnt grasped this C4D thing, what do I need and how do I do? would be great if someone could tell me or redirect me to a guide cuz google dont like me

Oh ok. Thanks for clarifying.

And try here for C4D and effects. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

What you do with C4Ds is put them over your images, and use them to create certain effects. Usually they're just bubbles, abstract lines, curves, lights, and lots more. Also, use different layer options in order to have them blend in with what you're making. Once you try them out, it'll be easy.
