How do I get this to save in higher quality...? because everything I try doesn't really make it look better and it takes forever to load in photoshop...

you can't. Specially gifs. If you have the original psd then save it as a jpeg.

I don't think jpeg supports animation, does it?
Animated png would be better, but it is not widely supported

I also think you can't. Don't ask me why because I don't know the answer but I do know that programs for gif making automaticlly make HQ or LQ gif. I am using Fireworks CS3, and I also want my sig gif to be in HQ but what can I do

EDIT: if you like gif making join us at Gif thread

It doesn't work that way. Since PNG and GIF are lossless formats, JPEG can achieve the same quality and a smaller size with images with lots of colours. PNG and GIF are a lot better for diagrammatic images (images with lots of large areas with solid colours, i.e. pie graphs and vector images, etc.). GIF is generally worse than PNG, but in some cases the compression ratio is better - it is also a widely accepted image format. It doesn't have the features like alpha transparency and support for over 256 colours like PNG does, but it is better for use on the web for accessibility.

Does this look better to you, it does to me, but still no real quality. I'll look into animated pngs...
