Really dig Rhowie's idea. Didn't do anything like it before so it's gonna be interesting.

I also think that it's better to be "NOT A COMPETITION"...making this a competition, will make us run out of time (there's the SOTW, the Special Event Competition, plus some of us also participate on other GFX sites & are busy with their own work/school/activities)...We have at max 5 weeks to make the best monthly calendar we can...so I'm asking those GFXer's/ or interested people to join in....It doesn't matter if it's ugly or copy/paste kind of wallpaper....as long as you're not ripping anyones work...it's fine...just be sure you made it...so it means...."ANYONE CAN SUBMIT THEIR WORK"....Thanks!

I'll be making my first calendar this coming Friday *GMT (my only day off) for the month of January 2010....I'll ask Duratrix to make a thread where we can post our works...

Oh!...can I also ask someone to render the "AnimeTake" logo....
See Yah!

"we will collect all the entries and post them all so that anybody can pick/choose what wallpaper/calendar month they like"

If we're going to do it like that, wouldn't it be better if we had a specific size the wallpapers have to be? In other words have the same quality for all the wallpapers?
Example: For instance you wanna have for january and february, 1680x1050px wallpapers (from Gamer_144) and then you want for march another wallpaper (from Blalallala - any other person) which is only 800x600px (and there isn't one of 1680x1050). Well then you're screwed. xD

Or are we gonna do multiple sizes, but then we need to have them for all the months. Just saying... =/

Let me know how it's going to go.

Edit: btw the thread is up. ^^

Thanks!...Duratrix for the thread, and everyone for support.....

about the calendar size, I'll leave it up to you Duratrix....

I decided to make 800x600 the minimum size, 'cuz not everyone likes to make a higher size/resolution wallpaper..eh....like me...I always use 1024x768 size...& some photo uploading sites resizes your wallpaper...I won't restrict an artist work/canvass due to size as long as it's decent and downloadable...so just set a maximum size for the calendar....

**For those who will make a monthly calendar....Please be sure to put in the Month/Days/Date visible...(eh...not too small, but not too big either)and for the "AnimeTake" Logo....any font you use will do....as long as it's also visible...

Good Luck Guys!

Perhaps one slight suggest that pertains to the sotw and laotw(large art of the week)

( Click to show/hide )
Here are some rules pertaining to the daily Signature Contests. First let me notify you that "SOTW" (Signature Of The Week) is by far, outdated. "SOTW" pressures people with a set time limit in which you have to submit your entry. Plus, "SOTW" takes a week for all of it's progression to fully complete itself.

The Signature Contest guides will be much better than the SOTW. Let me lay out of what I think is best for the Signature Contests.

Each SC (Signature Contest) will persist of up to at the least, four participants or more. A deadline as for time, has been eliminated. Your only deadline is when a fixed number of entries have been submitted. Do not take upon this as a rush to enter in your entry. If the deadline is up before you enter your entry, then simply make another SC. You do not have to wait a week to create another SC. Upon participating a SC, you are not automatically a participant just by posting in the thread. You will become a participant when you submit your entry. Please note that bashing another person's entry will NOT be tolerated and is not allowed. 2 SCs are allowed to be active at the same time.

After all entries have been submitted, a voting session will be made for members to choose on which signature is the most appealing opinion-wise. The participants may vote as well, but of course, DO NOT vote for yourself. Now, as for the voting, there may either be a set date as to which the session then expires or there may be a set of amount of votes to reach, which in then, the session expires. Anybody who hosts any of the SCs are also allowed to participate in them.

Voting Guide Lines:
Vote for the three you like best.
1=one point 2=two points 3=three points

For example:
1.fred
2.joe
3.bob

fred would get 1 point
joe two points
and bob 3 points

All the points will be added and tallied up for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.
