Default A Book on how to draw Anime for Beginners?? - 10-22-2011, 04:56 PM

I really don't know how to draw really much of anything, though I can draw eyes pretty good, everything else though is horrible.

Is there a book out there for beginners so I can learn how to draw. Though I want to kind of draw more realistic drawings I will be willing to start off on what ever is easiest. I just want to get really good, I know it is going to take a while still.

So can someone link me a website to book that you can learn how to draw anime or even people?

(Sorry if this is in the wrong area, I'm like brand new here.)

The thing about drawing anything is that you should really learn the foundations of drawing normally before developing a style, whether it be manga/anime or western super hero. That way your art will be that much better. Learn anatomy and bone structure then you can alter it anyway you like, but do it properly.

I learned by watching Mark Crilley's Youtube videos. He's very good at making tutorials.

Have you tried the library?

-edit- OK, I had a thought and remembered that I could access my city library's catalog through the internet. I took a look and found these 4 books:

How to draw manga. Making anime / co-authored by Yoyogi Animation Gakuin & AIC ; drawing, Hiroyuki Kitazume, Matsuri Okuda, Akihiro Izumi.

Anime mania : how to draw characters for Japanese animation / Christopher Hart.

Kids draw anime / Christopher Hart.

How to draw anime & game characters. Vol. 2, Expressing emotions / [Tadashi Ozawa].

(I would assume that a vol. 1 exists, but apparently, not at my library)

The cool thing about the library is you can look through all the books for as long as you like. Check them out if you want. Evaluate them and then go buy the ones you like if you decide you can't live without them. Whatever.

"There were 3 sisters, and, a man might ride for days and never set eyes upon such maidens. Marie, tall and grave, and Blanche, petite and gay, and the dark Agnes, eyes that went through you like a waxed arrow. I stayed there as long as four days, and was betrothed to them all; for it seemed shame to set one above her sisters, and might make ill blood in the family. Yet, for all my care, things were not merry in the house, and I thought it well to come away."

well is pretty simple, you need practice your hand first.try draw face first because you can draw eye pretty good.you can use imagination or trace from other drawing.i recommend start draw straight face mean it focus to you, then if you already used to it you can draw any emotion face.i learn by myself without any teaching.hope this will help ya. >.<
