What i do is capture whatever i want with Fraps import them in Sony Vegas edit them as i want render it to a uncompressed avi import the avi in photoshop and make it a gif. Or render the frames to raw PNGs and use APNG Anime Maker to create an animated PNG.
Most of my avatars are APNGs.

Hey! I'm trying to do your tut and I end up having an error in Photoshop saying "Windows does not have a constrictor," when I tried to load the files into shack. Any idea to solve this error?

sony vegas is good to make gift pic..n u can also make songs n sub....but very hard to make it...but easy to learn

Sony Vegas cannot create animated gifs.

for all ppl who are making animated gifs or want to start make one, there is simple way for extracting frames instead Virtual dub and all other programs. You can extract frames using MPC "alt + i", simple, fast

. I use that method over a year now and I see no one mentioned it yet so hope this helps new gif animators

...when u extract all frames using MPC just use Adobe Fireworks (I use CS3, simple version :3) to make animated gif

...easy and simple...well this is my method

. Also I use Gif Optimizer v1.0 to minimize gif size and not quality
