Okay, here's a nice rage thread about hotfile.

This website is an utter piece of shit. The free version doesn't work properly with jdownloader, which already made me rage.

Cause of this, I bought myself a 6month premium. I got to use it for 2 downloads, before they told me I was trying to log in too much incorrectly from this ip (which I wasn't) and to try again in 10mins. 48 hours later my account starts to work again, except now in goes at <10kbps, when MU (FREE) goes at >600kbps. I paid £22 for membership to a bag of shit website. Whats more I've sent them three complaints via their form since last friday and got no response despite leaving my E-Mail address.

tl;dr: hotfile is a bag of shit, with or without premium.

Yeah hotfile sucks. And yet it seems to pop up more often in the main page nowadays...

I think it depends where you live. For me, megaupload is like 100KB/s dl with premium... whereas hotfile (also premium) maxes out my line speed.

this is why i got life time premium on mu at first it my seem like a shit load of cast 200 usd but think about how much you use it and how long you will and the rewards from the shit ive uploaded it has more then payed for its self 12 times

Coming from a person with Hotfile premium, I can agree that Hotfile is pure shit. I don't have issues like you do, but the simplest thing as download speed is like 1/10 of my max. It just doesn't go beyond 300kb/sec. So the only thing I got out of Hotfile is no wait time between downloads and being able to have multiple downloads at the same time.

I'm glad I got premium for MU and RS too <3
