There is nothing wrong with how Obama is doing things imo. No other american president would have done a better job.

Ugh no, try actually reading or watching some of the reports. The goverment has fucked up at every turn. They've refused to temporarily lift a law thats preventing more skimmer ships from being pulled from other parts of the country to work in the gulf and they've denied offers of help from over a dozen different countries. They've already been caught lying on several occasions and now they've enacted that 65 foot ban for 'safety', safety my ass, its so they can hide just how much they've royally fucked this up so far.

plus they've repeatedly attempted to shift the entire blame onto BP. as if it doesn't matter that BP were only one of a few companies involved in the oil rig.
Or that while BP has repeatedly bent over backwards to help (going well beyond what is required by law) most of the other companies are refusing to honour any of their obligations whatsoever.

I know I'm not exactly an impartial observer, but there just seems to be a real "lets bash BP" feeling in the american media, mostly because its seen as a foreign company.
