Default What is the strongest anti virus software? - 06-22-2010, 07:06 PM

recently there are variety of modern anti virus software that are
distributed in the market and to be more specific the 2010 models
but which one you believe is the best to deal withe the new versions
of malware and hackers attacks i was concerned about this issue since
i discovered scary rumors about advanced malware withe advanced playloads
being sold in the black market so some hackers can start the dark
business of identity theft and rip off some other computer users like stealing
there credit card info and other dirty works so i want you guys to
give me your opinion about the most effective anti virus that a computer
user should really obtain at a time like that i know that the software is
created by a human being not an angel so it may have it`s drawbacks so
which one is withe the least flows as i am not expecting a super anti virus after all
to make it easy those are our candidates

Kaspersky 2010 , Norton 2010, AVG 9.0, Nod 32 .Viper 2010 ,Bite Defender 2010 and finally Avaria anti vir whether they are internet security or
normal anti virus what is the best one to choose against that malware rampage

Well,I'd personally vouch for Kaspersky but Bit defender probably offers the best value for money albeit I feel it's a little too intrusive.Norton,Nod and McAfee are other viable options.

If we are talking about free anti-virus software... I would say Avast, and on the second place AVG anti-virus....

But if we're talking about buying one... then I would say Kaspersky.... Norton can be a pain at times.... McAfee is still okay.... I never tried other products before so can't commend

Oh... one more thing... I've read before on a programmer's site... never tried though too much of a hassle... They said that individual single task-oriented anti-virus e.g an anti-virus that only scans malware, then another program just to scan for other things, would be more effective than an anti-virus that has a all-in-one feature...

Yeah with McAfee I got a virus but then I uninstalled it and got AVG and I haven't had a problem since. and it's free so I save money

I'm not sure but MAYBE that's all part of their "marketing skills"...

So you see... If they can fool the users that buys their products that they have lots of VIRUS! Then, the user would think:

*monotone* "Oh... Thank God! I bought this ****** anti-virus... Look at my computer it had so many virus! This anti-virus saved my life...." *monotone*

It all part of their plan to fool people to think that their computer is full of virus... That's why some people say it's better to get the free anti-virus, cause there isn't a need for them to place something like a "marketing skills"

AVG is good but i found that it takes over your computer without you realizing. I use Steam (Valve) and I found AVG can be slightly over protective when it come to Spyware (thinking that steam was a suspicious network). Got rid of the bloody AVG in the end.
But to the point. I got Kaspersky and I have had no problems with it so far. It is by far the best program I used so far. Also you have some amount of control over the program compared to many of it's competitors.
