LINUX YOU SAY?

mplayer -ao alsa -vo fbdev2 -autoq 100 -mc 0 -noskip yoursillyshow.mkv

Try that.

mplayer > any player out there for windows.

Prove that I'm bullshitting?

I love getting into arguments and discussions. So if your not up for it, just drop it and get out. Otherwise, argue against my points and prove that your right and I'm wrong.

My bro likes vlc, I prefer mpc, it's all good. To which his own.

Don't ask me for reup. I you want ost or jmusic before it even hit the shelves, you would have to find my website. just google for want you are looking for and add download at the end of your search. I can't post the name of my website, I have been banned 1 week already b/c I linked to it once. I won't be active in the forums anymore since it became a playground for wannabees.

You have to feel sorry for the guys who just want something that works and get a barrage of conflicting suggestions and arguments.

"But why would Hespero want to destroy the world? he asked.

"I don't know," Sister Pale replied. "Perhaps he is insane. Or very, very disappointed in things."

CCCP is now acting up with me, the audio won't work, so I'm gonna have to switch to a different player or codec

I recently switched from Win7 to Ubuntu for my Media Notebook... The default player is pretty weak and mplayer works great... But for some reason it doesn't stream properly from my NAS... But VLC is doing that job just fine, so I am quite content with switching the players.

yup, although I use mplayer2. It doesn't fail when you use vdpau and 10bit video like mplayer does.

I used CCCP with MPC for years, but lately I've found SMPlayer2 to be easier to use and more compatible. 10-bit picture quality is fantastic when you set it to GL3 output.

I use smplayer. Trying out smplayer2 because of the above post ^^

I used to use Media Player Classic then moved to Baka MPlayer (a media player based on mplayer2 I somewhat helped develop) on windows.

Not at all what you meant but I just found out the crappy Blu-ray player I bought around Christmas time can play MKVs from a flash drive. Kinda cool, but now I don't think I'll ever get around to throwing together a HTPC. Though I still haven't tested it with 10 bit yet.
