In the words of Kilgore Trout: "Now It Can Be Told". Here is what happened:

Yesterday I clicked the link for 'Persona 4 The Animation Episode 10', and I went to a screen that displayed the message, "This page does not exist". I thought that maybe it was in the process of being created, so I waited 5 minutes and tried it again, and got the same result. I then went to the 'Persona 4 the Animation Downloads screen'. It loaded normally, but where there's usually a list of episodes (with links to the pages for the episodes), there were *no* episodes listed. I went back to the home page, did a refresh, and the listing for 'Persona 4 The Animation Episode 10' was now gone from the list.

This made me wonder if we were going to lose the series. That's when I did all the googles looking for info. And that's when I came here and asked my question. I did think of going to the fansubber (excellent suggestion, by the way - thanks), but I did not remember who that was.

Obviously, Persona is back. And obviously, I caught it while it was under construction.

Anyhow, thanks for all the positive responses that tried to give suggestions pertinent to my question. For those of you who did not understand the question, or who just stopped by to discourage people from asking question, well, you can try again next time.

I think you under impression that mods here will crucify you for anything they don't feel good about. Even if something got DMCA'ed, it doesn't mean you can't talk about it.

In the more friendly sites that I frequent, if someone needs to take something down then they make a brief announcement that they've done so. And usually a brief explanation of why. That sort of thing never happens here. If content or posts are deleted or someone is banned or a mod freezes a thread, it just happens with no explanation. If someone subsequently asks about it they get hazed.

In the case of a cease and desist, I give the folks here the benefit of the doubt and I ascribe their behavior to legal cleanliness rather than to laziness or nastiness.

There are examples I'd like to link you to, but I can't remember where they are, or maybe they were deleted.

Umm... I understand that when DMCA letters are sent, that series is removed.. although it might be better to write it to it's download page.. you know, there are some where you get to some series' page to find nothing.. well anyone can guess what happened, when there's no link, but it might fill some space to make it look bit less lonely...


and if you want to go straight to fansubber and forget who it was that was subbing it... try looking at anidb.net ...

Were the LN's finished all already? Or is the manga done as well? Havn't been all caught up with it lately since news on that has been pretty scarce as of late so I've been out of the loop for a while now O_o

I think it finished in august 2010 (?) with that 2 part one... I didn't read that one yet, so I'm not sure but ANOT seemed as beginning of the end..

and I think that there are 2 volumes of spin-off published (in Japan) which aren't short story anthologies so I guess that action based storyline ended... (what a shame... I really loved BOMF)
