Default Why does my VLC media player look better than Media Player Classic? - 08-31-2011, 11:35 PM

I have a feeling some of my settings in Media Player classic are not set correctly. When watching a 1080p video, the quality looks the same, but when I full screen a 720p on Media player classic it looks pixelly, but when I do it in VLC media player it looks blurry, but i feel it looks better, and the subtitles definitely look better in VLC player, any help or settings I could use?

I went from Media Player Classic to VLC, VLC being the better of the two, and then VLC to PotPlayer. PotPlayer is by far the best.

Visually better looking != better performance.

By your logic, Macs are the best in the world. Use MPHC that's included in CCCP.

God damnit, if you're an Linux/Mac faggot, just use MPlayer. It's like 9001 times better than VLC.

If you're using Windows, STOP GIVING A SHIT ABOUT THE APPEARANCE! MPC is extremely light and efficient due to the basic appearance, lack of GAY FRILLS or video filters!

From what you're saying, VLC is applying automatically some sort of blur filter on the entire video, making it "seem" like it's better. It's all bullshit nonetheless. But, if you still want that kind of shit, go for ZOOM Player.

It depends on what media player you want to use when playing your file. I love both Media Player Classic and VLC player. I prefer MPC but I switch to VLC sometimes. For instance, I got an Evangelion 1.11 Blu-ray 6.85 GB file that when I play with MPC, the picture quality is very good. But, the file stops in the middle of the movie and the picture just freezes, even if you fast forward it. I switch to VLC, the picture quality is not that good as MPC but the file plays perfectly. I guess both of them are just fine, it's up to the user what you want to use.
