Default Malaysia cracks down on protesters - 07-10-2011, 12:50 PM

As you can see from the video, Malaysian government is using heavy handed approach to greet peoples that want electoral reformations. You can get some more info here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Demonstration were also held at other parts of the world such as Australia, Egypt, NZ, USA, Japan, Taiwan and other places. Of course, without those police raining tear gas canister and chemical water at them.

The people are not. But the police are. And, I didn't see any machete or molotov cocktails being used during the demonstration. The police started the violence first, shooting tear gas canister, raining down chemical waters (and kicks too) at the participants. Oh, and I am from Malaysia. Just currently not there.

Do not approve. I wonder how these governments can keep this up knowing what's happening around the world.

They acted like that because they wanna suppress the people's voice before it became too loud.

Sound like the cops are the one to blame?
Police are just an occupation, they will never do anything without their boss approval . . . .
Since I dont know much about their electoral system, this is all I can say

No, I didn't blame the cops. Looks like you misunderstood me. I was referring to the government as a whole.

That's good to hear
Do you think this electoral system can be changed trough a demonstration like this?
There was an electoral system change in my country ages ago, but I doubt this can happen easily

Then what should they do to change it? Even when the King intervened, the Home Ministry and Prime Minister doesn't give a shit about it. Government offers the organizers to do the demonstration in a stadium, but they turn their backs on their own words. And yes, it's never easy. True. Nothing is easy, really.

Also, news vid from Channel News Asia:

Let see....
What it took for my country to reform their electoral system is,
Few hundreds dead and missing people, the step down of the president (maybe prime minister in Malaysia)

Maybe if they keep doing that it will eventually get international attention and ultimately UN
Though I dont know what UN can actually do
