Default Places to visit in Europe. - 06-02-2011, 10:43 PM

So I'm gonna buy an interrail ticket in August and travel Europe with friends. Suggestions of good destinations and why? Chance to plug your home town

prague is deffinately one of the prioritories, a friend of mine went there last year and he said it was really awesome xD.
paris/rome are obvious ones.
erm...
i heard some cities in austria like salzburg are nice (mozart birthplace)
venice too deffinately, since the city isn't gonna be there for much longer due to decreasing altitude of the land it's built on.
and that's all i can think of off the top of my head xD

I will assume your over 18.
Amsterdam, If you have to ask why never mind.
Nuremberg, Ya just gotta visit the wall. No not the Berlin wall. The inner wall that surrounds the town of Nuremberg. Seriously whacked red light district.

Just a couple of the places I want to revisit.

Rome takes at least 4 days to fully enjoy and you must use the tram to see everything at a good pace.

Venice takes a day to enjoy, its pretty compact and pretty crowded.

Paris, 3-4 days to enjoy entire city, suggest staying in hotel near a train station. It's very easy to get robbed there too.

I speak from experience.

Never miss the chance to go to Barcelona, even if you don't go to Madrid, you should see Barcelona,I've been there last year,it was most enjoyful. And as King Drahcir said, you should go to Rome, there are lotsa museums, cathedrals, old buildings, lovers fountain(I just came up with that) what I really love about it,under the hot sunlight, you can get free water almost every street
Well PAris is nice place, but these two should your priorities if you don't want to regret it.My two friends is taking this tour too. They will be seeing Amsterdam,Brussel, some of Germany's cities,PAris,Madrid,Barcelona,Toledo(Endulus Culture, must to see,you can buy katana there,a masterpiece one) of course Rome Vatican(they are close to each other) Napoli,Milano... There are more to add actually but itt's up to the time intervall you'll be staying there(in every city I mean)
How do I know this much,I have been lotsa cities that I have counted up there, last year.We would like to buy interrail, this yeear from its advantages, but it was a little late.We will be seeing Prague,Amsterdam,Münich Brussel and some other cities this year

Lets see, Prague as others have mentioned, Venice is nice, Paris... meh, I personally didn't enjoy Paris much but you may, there is a lot to see there, Budapest in Hungary is awesome, tons of shit to see/do there as well, Spain has nice beaches, Holland is always a good time, for more then just the red light districts lol- A-Dam, Gronigan(sp?). Germany is always a good time, Koln, Munchen, Belgium has awesome beer.

It all depends on what you want to do when you're in the places that you're going to visit, visit historical landmarks, party etc.

Lapland(Finland) is pretty good place to visit. A lot of different places to see, and experience. Others have already mentioned other good spots.
