Hi guys, so I've noticed while perusing through the threads lately that there are no threads on which for us to talk about ourselves and let others know more about us. So I figured what better a thread to make than a "Share a Funny Moment and/or Experience From YOUR Life" thread.

Basically, this thread is for any of you guys to go ahead and share any funny moments and/or experiences of your life. You can also go ahead and include moments from your life you think are very anime-esque and even romantic comedy moments.


Also, feel free to go ahead and discuss those moments and experiences here. This thread isn't just for simply sharing parts of your life, don't forget to share your thoughts on others' posts. Although I'll appreciate it if you don't be overly critical to someone else and/or just simply antagonize them.

Also, sorry about posting this in the "General Discussion" directory, for those of you who posted there, you have to post here, because that post is dead.

LOL, sorry about the wait... I got kinda side-tracked. Okay here we go...


There was this one time when I auditioned to get the lead role in the my high-school play. During the auditions, I noticed that there was a guy there whom I always wanted to get closer to and become friends with. He's a guy with a very funny sense of humor,some great skills at break dancing and hip-hop dancing, and also a great singing voice. Sadly, I knew some people to avoid him since he's gay and just recently came out of the closet the year before. I knew that Junior (That's his name, but I didn't know his last name) is gay, but that didn't at all make me think negatively about him.

So after the auditions were over, and we saw who got what role in the play, I went over to talk to him. But I noticed when I got to him that he was a little depressed about not getting the lead role in the play, not wishing to see him be so depressed and hoping I could cheer him up and get him to be his usual spunky self. I asked him if he's ever gone to "Sweet Dream" a local cafe that specializes in teas, smoothies, snow drinks, and Boba Tea. After he told me he has never been there before, I had him come with me over to Sweet Dream so that he can try a drink and that I'll be the one paying. At first he kept on saying no, but gave in when I continued to insist that he has to at least try one.

So after we got into Sweet Dream and ordered our drinks. I couldn't help but notice how quiet he was in comparison to his usual self. Taking this as a sign that he's still depressed over not getting the lead role (Which is understandable since there were many people including myself, who kept on telling him and assuring him that he would get it. But in the end they gave the role to some green-horn senior unfamiliar with dancing and singing...) and not wanting there to be uncomfortable silence going on, I decided to tell him about myelf, which worked well in getting him to actually start talking back. We talked about a lot of things; we talked about our hobbies, our difficulties with school, the people we hang-out with, what movies we like, what books we like, favorite foods, what annoys us, it even got to us talking about things we're scared of. Time passed by pretty quickly while we were talking because before I knew it, my mom was right outside the cafe to pick me up.
A little sad myself that we had to end such a great conversation so abruptly, I then stood up to leave and got ready to say, "see ya later"

But when I stood up and then looked at him to say "see ya later" I felt this weird "feeling" in the air... The best I can describe this feeling is that it's that feeling you get when YOU have just fucked up, and you don't know exactly what it is you fucked up with, but you definitely fucked up so bad, that the air is getting permeated with it. After noticing this "feeling", I looked at Junior and noticed that he's giving me this... "look", he didn't even have to speak, because I got the message through that "look" alone... He was saying, "What!? You're leaving like that! You're not even going to ask me out on a date!? Or at least ask for my cell-phone number!? Or give me YOUR cell-phone number!?"

After realizing this message, I quickly went over in my head what had happened between us to have made him think this way and realized the main points that may have caused it:

1) I asked him out
2) I won him over with good persistence after he said no
3) We had a great conversation from which, he thought we had a great "connection". Hell, truth be told, I have never had such a great conversation with any of the girls I had previously asked out as I did with him.

Realizing this, I just stood still with him looking at me and me returning his gaze... as this unbearable silence just lied down right upon us. I couldn't help but think,

Oh my God... this is a bit MORE than I asked for... I was hoping that he would like me, but I didn't want him to LIKE me! And what's worse is that this is ALL my fault!

Thoughts like that finally overloaded my brain and made me break the silence with a very quick,

"Oh~! Well, my ride is here so I-I gotta go. I-It was great talking to you!"

and then I walked (faster than I normally do) to my mom's car, and left.

Truth be told, I feel really bad about doing that to him. I WAS intending to give him my cell-phone number, but doing that would have DEFINITELY given him the wrong impression about our time together and my thoughts regarding him.

Yeah, a couple times during rehearsal. But he quickly quit because he was unsatisfied with his role.

OMG, I just remembered something I'm sure I was repressing...

One of my cousins was also in the play, and he would sometimes give me a ride back to my house after rehearsal was over. There was one time that while we were leaving in good spirits from the rehearsal, we passed by Junior. My cousin kept on glaring at Junior even as we left...Then, right in the middle of our drive back to my house, he kinda vented his anger out and said how much he hates Junior.

Apparently Junior and my cousin had been going out, and if I'm correct... They were still going out when I had "supposedly asked Junior out". My cousin did not know of this, but he did hear that Junior was cheating on him. He tried to get him to talk about it, but Junior wouldn't tell him a thing. So... they broke up and have been on bad terms ever since.

Oh man... Now I feel even worse about that whole turn of events...

I might just be the most unintentional douchebag ever...

Happy that the strangely anime-esque and romantic comedy moments of my life could make you LOL that hard pal

Oh c'mon... Don't make one on THAT alone! I've got more stories like that... But don't expect me to go sharing them just yet... At least 2 or 3 more of you guys have to share a story before I share another one.

Sorry buddy, but I'm a hikikomori. I don't have stories to tell. I also have a terrible memory, meaning that I can't remember anything more than 3 years back, when I became a hikikomori.
